Public Administration Degree
Students with a concentration in Public Administration will possess many of the skills necessary to be
successful in the public sector. These students will combine their Public Administration concentration
with organizational skill development in communications, group behavior, decision making, human resource
management and ethics, culminating in a well-rounded degree. The curriculum combines theory and practice
for a comprehensive public administration education with emphasis on solid leadership.

Public administrators manage nearly every aspect of public service at the federal, state and local levels
offering the opportunity to help shape the future. The Public Administration degree exposes students to
valuable theoretical knowledge and best practices in the areas of management, organizational behavior,
research and evaluation, e-business, and critical thinking and problem solving. The MBA program in Public
Administration develops management skills in defining business problems, assessing information, considering
alternatives, and choosing the best solutions.
