The mission of Southern California University for Professional Studies is to provide high
quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Business Administration, Management of Engineering and
Technology, Psychology, Liberal Studies, Legal Studies, and Law. SCUPS was incorporated in the State of
California in 1978 for the purpose of satisfying the educational needs of working adults who could not
attend tradition educational institutions due to lack of accessibility or work and family obligations. This
realization led to the commitment of offering degree-granting distance education designed to meet the needs
of working adults.
Our learners are individually advised and counseled through personal contact with their faculty mentor via
phone, mail, fax and email. Learners are guided in an orderly manner toward achieving their educational
objectives in the shortest time possible. Learners are encouraged to be responsible for their own academic
journey through contact with their faculty mentors and academic advisor who are sincerely concerned with
their success.
