Students who have less than 24 transferrable credits are required to take 24 credits in general education coursework in the communication arts, social sciences, mathematics, life sciences, and the humanities. To obtain an accounting degree specifically, in addition to 9 credits for interdisciplinary studies, students are required to take 18 credits of course work that will strengthen their mathematical, financial and processing skills that are imperative to any accountant. Such coursework will include introduction to finance, accounting information systems and accounting ethics, just to name a few. A total of 52 credits are needed to earn this degree.
